The Islas Marietas Marine Reserve is a haven of unspoiled tropical beauty both on the surface and under the waves. When diving at Marietas Islands, you will slide down an underwater mountain range that offers the perfect conditions to observe fascinating marine creatures that inhabit this fascinating nature reserve. Diving in the Marietas Islands is a wonderful adventure since the excursion begins on a boat that takes you 21 miles along the Banderas Bay. In the winter season (December-March) you could see with a bit of luck humpback whales jumping through the ocean or in some other times dolphins crossing the Bay, once you start diving you will have the opportunity to contemplate volcanic formations, arches, towers pyramids and caves where you will see a great variety of tropical fish, giant stingrays and other native species of the place. The Islas Marietas National Park is a protected ecosystem that favors the extraordinary flora and fauna that you have the opportunity to enjoy every time you immerse yourself in this wonderful eco-exploration of the place.
